This collaboration aims to amplify the voices, contributions, and career progressions of Nigerian medical professionals in the UK.

Race Equity and Diversity in Careers (REDiC) Incubator

Lead Collaborators: CfRE, University of Birmingham 

Supported by: NIHR, NIHR ARC OxTV

This aims to breakdown barriers faced by ethnically minoritised researchers and diversify the UK research workforce. 

  • Four workstreams: Communication and engagement, Training and career development, Talent Pipeline, and Advocacy and Policy. 
  • Build national community, mentoring programmes, policy advocacy, and inclusive career support.

This collaboration was part of an international roundtable discussion that brought together global stakeholders from patient organisations, academia, healthcare, and industry to address the challenges faced by women in cardiovascular health.
